He is a fool, but he acts very smart and sophisticated, and he loves to scoff at others. He is a habitual mocker who will harden his heart and poison relationships.#3 The next type of fool is the Hebrew pĕthiy, the simple. They are easily led and influenced. They are also intellectually lazy and susceptible to get-rich-quick schemes.#4 The most common word used for fools in the Bible is the Hebrew kĕciyl, which means obstinate. Fools are opinionated, wise in their own eyes, and unable to learn or be corrected.
