The telescope of a small observatory makes nearly two million stars visible, and a modern reflecting telescope brings the light from thousands of millions more to the viewer. But in the colossal dimensions of the cosmos, our stellar system is only a tiny part of an incomparably larger stellar system.#2 There are 18,000 planets in our galaxy that are similar to the earth, and it is estimated that two million different species of living creatures live on the earth. The idea that life can only exist and develop on a planet like the earth is no longer true.#3 The universe is estimated to be between eight and twelve milliard years old. Meteorites bring traces of organic matter under our microscopes. Bacteria millions of years old wake up to new life. Floating spores propelled by the light of a sun travel the universe and are captured by the gravitational field of a planet.#4 We took 400,000 years to reach our present state and stature. Who can produce concrete proof that another planet did not provide more favorable conditions for the development of other or similar intelligences. We are nothing but ants in the vast State of the universe.
