Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights:#1 When the COVID-19 crisis forced his company to shut down, Curtis Christopherson, the founder and CEO of Innovative Fitness, had to pivot and go remote. His company was already working with a software provider to develop a proprietary system for appointment scheduling and billing. They asked a wild question: can you add video calling to the platform. Their provider said yes, and they created an entire system in two weeks.#2 As a remote leader, you must figure out how to train clients in a virtual environment, and how to train more than 200 employees to work together and with their clients entirely remotely.#3 Remote work is new for many organizations, and while it may be beneficial for teams, it can also create a host of challenges and opportunities. Leaders must address the challenges of shared understanding and identity among their team members.#4 Shared understanding is the extent to which members of the team have a commonly held perspective on the team’s expertise, assigned tasks, context, and preferences. It’s important to build this into the team’s process, as it will help them work together more smoothly.
