Brazilian jeitinho

Sinopse

The original version of this book was published in Brazil (Jeitinho brasileiro, mazelas históricas e cultura jurídico-tributária. Florianópolis: Editora Insular, 2012), and a Spanish edition of this book was also published in Argentina (Jeitinho brasileño, lacras históricas y cultura jurídico-tributária: ensayo académico. Buenos Aires: Ediciones Ruinas Circulares, 2013). There is a preface written by Letraduz for the English edition. The book also includes prefaces written by Professor Antônio Carlos Wolkmer and Professor Ubaldo Cesar Balthazar for the Portuguese edition, as well as a presentation written by journalists Raúl Fitipaldi and Tali Feld Gleiser for the Spanish edition. Works by some of the main authors who wrote about this Brazilian jeitinho were consulted – Bernardino Leers, Fernanda Carlos Borges, Keith Rosenn, Lívia Barbosa, Lourenço Stelio Rega, Mériti de Souza, and Roberto DaMatta – as a theoretical framework to support the research, as well as works by some of the main authors who wrote about Brazil – Caio Prado Júnior, Carlos Guilherme Mota, Celso Furtado, Dante Moreira Leite, Darcy Ribeiro, Gilberto Freyre, Raymundo Faoro, Roberto Simonsen, Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, and Victor Nunes Leal – and, in particular, on the history of Law in Brazil – Antônio Carlos Wolkmer, Mauro de Albuquerque Madeira, Savério Mandêtta and Ubaldo Cesar Balthazar –, among others.
