They have well-paying careers, and are not outwardly aggressive. They are often successful and charming. However, their destructive traits only become apparent when they are alone with you.#4 When you first begin to realize that a person you have loved and fully believed loved you is a covert narcissist, it is difficult to believe because you have seen them in such a different light for so long.
